Psalms, 11

1. For the leader. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains!

2. See how the wicked string their bows, fit their arrows to the string to shoot from the shadows at the upright.

3. When foundations are being destroyed, what can the upright do?"

4. The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD'S throne is in heaven. God's eyes keep careful watch; they test all peoples.

5. The LORD tests the good and the bad, hates those who love violence,

6. And rains upon the wicked fiery coals and brimstone, a scorching wind their allotted cup.

7. The LORD is just and loves just deeds; the upright shall see his face.

Psalm 11 deals with trust in God in the middle of difficult times. The psalmist encourages to trust the Lord even in situations of great adversity, remembering that he is fair and loves justice. Below are five verses that address topics related to this psalm:

Psalm 5:12: "For you, Lord, bless the righteous and how do you shine the fences of your benevolence." This verse speaks of the protection that God offers to the righteous, which is a promise present in Psalm 11 as well.

Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and fortress, well present help in anguish." This verse speaks of the protection that God offers in times of anguish, which is a central theme of Psalm 11.

Psalm 62:8: "Trust in Him, O people, in all times, pour out your heart before Him. God is our refuge." This verse encourages to trust God in all situations and to seek refuge in it, which is a message present in Psalm 11.
